Makeover With France

Hi Pretty Ladies out there...Happy Belated Chinese New Year!!! I've been quite busy this few days cleaning the house...well as you all know after the New Year, for a week we can't sweep the floor...so GENERAL CLEANING Ladiessss... :) I couldn't posted anything into my blog but it doesn't mean I didn't do anything thou...

Yes, of course I'm still doing makeover for someone...and she is my BFF sister. Well...you know I love to welcome anyone who wants to try my makeup skill...cheah...so I think it's about a month ago she text me asking if I'm free to do makeup. Actually, that very beautiful and sunny Saturday I was suppose to have date with my cousin butttt....she had other emergency and urgent thing to do and I'm so free on that day.

So, France say she like the makeup I did to my Tita Sonia..."wow! Praise God, someone like my makeup thou..." so she say she want to try like that smokey eye of Kim. I say, sure! :)

My 1st advice to her is...."Don't be surprise if you look extremely fair ok..." coz France has an Asian tone skin and as you all know I don't have foundation for dark tone skin but for France I was using medium skin tone. I told her no worries as the foundation combine with our natural oil from our face, slowly it will blend nicely. So ladies take a look.

France Naked Face

Few days after the makeover, I contacted France and wow Praise God her friend does like her makeup that night, and what make me so happy is she look so pretty until her own friend can't recognize her...phew...it's really a compliment.

Do You Know? Part 1

Hi ladies, today I'm going to share you about things that you should know about your makeup products. Maybe most of you know and most of you still not aware that our makeup products has their own life period. Once we open and use, we have to start counting the days until their expiry date. I read this magazine called Female, October 2008 distribution, page 298 -300. I think this is a good idea to share for all of the pretty ladies out there about their beauty products.

The 1st thing you should know is the products that we use for our eye area. This is because among all the face areas eye is very important and it is very sensitive.

Product : Eye Shadows
Shelf Life : 6 - 24 months

What you should know?
Powder eye shadows shelf life can stand up to 2 years, this is because normally they come in a palette and how often do you use all colours that you can actually finish them in a short time?

Cream liquid eye shadows last anywhere from 6 months to 12 months. As for other cream-based makeup, you can fridge them when their expiry date draws near to maintain the effectiveness.

Product : Eyeliners

Shelf Life : 3 - 6 months

What you should know?

You should sharpen the tip of your eyeliner regularly, for freshest and cleanest pigment from your pencil eyeliner. At the same time it also to help you to get rid of the unwanted and uninvited bacteria from getting too close to your eyes, which may in turn cause eye infection. When the pigment dries out or crumbles, this is the time you can say "sayonara" to your pencil and get a new pencil eyeliner. For liquid eyeliner, it's advisable to keep it for 3 months only.

Product : Mascaras

Shelf Life : 1 - 3 months

What you should know?

Among all of your makeup products, mascara is the shortest life span. Every time you swipe a coat over your lashes, you're transferring bacteria from your lashes back into the tube, so if you using it for over 6 months you are risking yourself to get infected and conjunctivitis especially if you are wearing contact lense. Try not to pump the wand one too many times as this will only let more air seep in, and at the end of the day your mascara will dry and clump faster.

To be continued...

Latest Product Update

Hi Ladies, yesterday is the 2nd day Watson's sale which started on the 3rd Feb til 7th March (EM). What's new? I think most of you seen the commercial advertisement for Maybeline MagNum Volum' Express mascara right? Yes..I bought it yesterday with discounted price at RM29.++(before RM35.++). At the same time I also bought the Maybeline Long Extreme Double Stretch Mascara at discounted price Rm32.++(before RM36.90).

These are the things I bought yesterday

Currently I'm using Revlon Double Twist mascara, however it is not what I expected. It also smudge and I don't find it satisfying...sigh...the new mascara I bought, both are also non smudge and waterproof just wait and see how true it is. I hope it's turn out good and satisfying. Well I didn't meant that the Revlon Double Twist mascara is not good, it has volume, makes my lash long and thick...but when it gets dry it smudge, the mascara drops and it's itchy...well it's depends to the individual right. I also don't really like the brush because it's fat and bulky, quite hard to apply especially at the corner of my lash and at the bottom.

This is the mascara that I'm using currently

Apart from that I bought Za 2 way cake foundation with SPF 20.PA++ UVA/UVB. I've been using this product for so long more than 5 years. My ex-colleuge who are actually introduce me to this Za 2 way cake foundation and I love it. When I use it, the longer it's stay on my face the blend it become and you don't have to worry if your face is oily cause this product is anti-shine powder but at the same time it makes you face bright and flawing. That's all I bought yesterday, I just buy what I think I really need and things that I need to replace before it's expired. As you all know our makeup product also has it's own life period.

The Za 2 Way Cake Foundation

No. 23 is actually darker color tone than my skin. Most of my customer has an Asian color tone skin, so that is why I bought this tone color.

So that's all for today, I hope this informations can help you when buying your makeup thingy in future.

Makeover With Syl

Hi Ladies, about two weeks ago I made a date with Sylvrina...for...nothing but makeover! She asked me if I can help her for her wedding in July, since I'm free at that time why not. So I gave her free trial for the makeup. It's quite rush and very limited time that Saturday because at the same day she also had an appointment with the bridal house. I tried to do as fast as I can but...so sorry Syl, I took your time so long..sigh..

At that time I didn't manage to take photo before and after. I even didn't manage to take a nice photo of her...sigh...lucky her niece took some photos...but unfortunately can't see clearly my work... :( sigh....

Just started to dap eyeshadow

I use purple color for the morning session makeup. This is because the wedding gown should be white or peach or beige color, light purple and pink is suitable for that day.

Unfinish job

This is her after the makeover

I can't zoom in the photo she email to me, can't really see the job I did. :(

At the bridal house, nice kan....

"I hope you like it Syl."

Mannequin Hair

Hi Ladies, yesterday I bought a mannequin hair, yes! mannequin hair. I was thinking, I should know how to fix and style the hair as well, then it's a package. Since I can't afford to pay for intensive hair and makeup course, which cost RM6k for the course, I then have to think of other way to learn and practice to do hair and makeup.

This is my new toy...Ms. Mannequin :) as soon as I bought it, I went home and quickly try to style her hair. It's 80% real hair, which means I can Iron and Curl her hair. Ms. Mannequin cost me RM95 at discounted price. It come together with the holder. I bought it from Enoveal, City Mall.

I Called This Style Missi Side Bun

This style suitable for wedding occasions and also theme occasion. To make it more dramatic, I can also put flower at the bottom of the bun.
