Barbie Doll has been part of little girls since 1959. This timeless doll seem has inspired so many people in many ways including makeup trends. Barbie doll was considered a symbol of femininity and style.

Since she was so appreciated worldwide, people began to be inspired by the Barbie dolls makeup, hairstyles and fashion style. Her makeup is very soft, cute but still sexy, a very feminine makeup which can appeal to every single girl.

The Barbie doll inspired makeup is a very sensual, feminine makeup, a makeup which is visible and cute. The colours used to create the makeup are soft, warm, bright colours, shimmery or matte, depending on each persons preferance. You can go for a softer look by limiting the amount of makeup used or you can go bolder by increasing the amount of makeup used during application. The most common colours used in creating a Barbie doll inspired makeup are baby pink, hot pink, raspberry, greens, blues, taupe, lavender etc. However, it is best to use pastel, warm colours because the Barbie look has constantly has been seen with expresses warmth, fun and good taste.

Thoughts Of The Day

Hi ladies, it's been a while I never update my blog. I've got nothing much to update, but only about this book called Makeup Manual by Bobbi Brown. When I saw this at Myer, Hay Street, without thinking further I just grabbed it and pay. I knew this book is worth to keep though it's cost me a lot.

As I on the way home, I read the first chapter from this book about "Makeup Artistry". I felt her word is so supportive and inspired me when she say "The best artists continually want to learn. Artist who think they know everything don't grow." She also added "They(MUA) need to be obsessed with the art and the business and cannot be afraid of hard work. Artist have to be able to see, evaluate their work, and take criticism as an opportunity to grow." How wonderful the message she gave to all the MUA out there.

I also agree when she say "All women really want the same thing: to look like themselves, only prettier and more confident." As like Bobbi that desire is also actually inspired me. I don't want to transform anyone to somebody who tottally look different from how their originally look like, but what I really want is to make them prettier and confident with their "natural look".

In this book covered everything from A to Z about basic makeup to pro, skin care, Artistry etc. I fully recommed to all MUA out there to read this book. You also can buy this book through online CLICK HERE for the link.

My Date With My Cousin Veron

Hi again pretty Ladies, this is my cousin Veron, she is my childhood best buddy and cousin. We always hang around hours and hours and hours at my house hmm I mean my parent house or sometimes at her house; and sometimes weekends or school holiday I will beg her to stay over at my house. Time pass so fast and as the year pass, we both are getting older and hmm wiser :) cheah...well those were the days...FYI she was a sports girl in school last time. Netball was her speciality and she was also one of the best player. Hmm...of course who ever visit me...I will never let go until I get to makeover them :) and ladies this is my cousin after the makeover

I have to admit that I'm not a good photographer but this is the Barbie Doll concepts, light eyeshadow, thick eyeliner and long eyelashes on the eye area and on the face has to be fair, pinkish cheek and nude pink lipstick.

My Girlfriends Pay A Visit

Hi Ladies...Last week my girlfriends slash my classmates pay a visit to Jason, my husband and me. I didn't see them since I got married in June 2008...Wow that's pretty long. I was so happy I meet them again and phew I think I really outdated with what is going on out there. Thanks Nance, Lice and Jacque to make an effort to visit us that day.

Well, upon their visit I took the chances to makeup my friend Alice and do some hair do for her. Lets have a look Alice before and after.






Actually, Alice has a nice and pretty eye. It's quite easy to makeup her eye coz she has big eye, with eyelid and deep crease. Even her skin also has no problem.

I was still thinking what to do with her hair. I just want it to look simple, nice and casual; at the same time suit her face shape.

Last Saturday my ex-colleague request to do makeup for their very 1st annual dinner in KK. Previously Aeon had their dinner in KL where the main quarters is. Then of course I will ask few questions like what type of makeup she like...smokey, classic ..what is the theme, what color her outfit, what hairstyle she want and other things. This year their theme is Cowboy and she would like to have smokey eyes makeup with her blue blouse and hot blue jeans skirt.

Hmmm....my mind started to work out with all the tips she gave to me. Than this is my result for the makeover...

Makeover With France

Hi Pretty Ladies out there...Happy Belated Chinese New Year!!! I've been quite busy this few days cleaning the house...well as you all know after the New Year, for a week we can't sweep the floor...so GENERAL CLEANING Ladiessss... :) I couldn't posted anything into my blog but it doesn't mean I didn't do anything thou...

Yes, of course I'm still doing makeover for someone...and she is my BFF sister. Well...you know I love to welcome anyone who wants to try my makeup skill...cheah...so I think it's about a month ago she text me asking if I'm free to do makeup. Actually, that very beautiful and sunny Saturday I was suppose to have date with my cousin butttt....she had other emergency and urgent thing to do and I'm so free on that day.

So, France say she like the makeup I did to my Tita Sonia..."wow! Praise God, someone like my makeup thou..." so she say she want to try like that smokey eye of Kim. I say, sure! :)

My 1st advice to her is...."Don't be surprise if you look extremely fair ok..." coz France has an Asian tone skin and as you all know I don't have foundation for dark tone skin but for France I was using medium skin tone. I told her no worries as the foundation combine with our natural oil from our face, slowly it will blend nicely. So ladies take a look.

Few days after the makeover, I contacted France and wow Praise God her friend does like her makeup that night, and what make me so happy is she look so pretty until her own friend can't recognize her...phew...it's really a compliment.
